How's the grass growing down there? I've been delayed another 2 weeks from going to Idaho in the Mountain Home area. I'm a bit worried it will be too high to see the whistle pigs except on the mounds.

It's not to bad yet, some places more than others. I was out Tues. and Wed. and we shot lots of them. Saw a badger both days but wasn't able to get on either one of them.

Finally got my .17hmr straightened out. You'd think I'd be a little faster figuring it out but after abour 80 rounds of CCI I finally acknowledged it was a bad batch after change to another brand and getting it down to .75MOA, when it was 1.75 and 2.00 MOA with the CCI. First time I've got a bad run number. Still have 8 boxes of the stuff left and will have to call CCI to see if they want it. The Hornady is shooting spectacular. I've had good batches and bad batches of that too.
So go mow the lawn, I'm ready.

Hey Shawn,
Went out this afternoon and shot a few. While I was out there I could hear these high pitched squeaky voices calling, "Shaaaawwwwn, Shhhaaaawwwn". LOL It wasn't as good today as it has been. They kept running, wouldn't hardly hold long enough for a shot. It was overcast and a slight breeze but warm. Don't know if the weather had something to do with the way they were acting or not. Stayed out until about 4:30 pm.

Well, about threw my .17hmr away and finally figured it was running too warm, spaced my shooting, it got back on target and finished day with 162 kills. We didn't count if not sure so could be more. Over 300 between the two of us. Had some lull of hits when wind was throwing shots off and moved to only closer shots.

Only had a couple hours, got another 50. Bought a clicker counter this year, highly encourage if you are keeping count.

I haven't even tried keeping count this year. Probably go out tomorrow after noon if the wind doesn't blow to bad. May go early and look for Mr. Badger.

Pretty good for a pistol. I haven't took my pistol out this tear, I need to start taking it. Went out Wednesday afternoon. They were all over the place. I don't know how many I shot but I shot up all the ammo I had with me. Made some good shots and missed some easy ones, go figure! But all in all I got a bunch of the little rascals. Fun, fun, fun.

Tried to shoot a few yesterday but the wind was blowing so hard out there we had to shoot them on the wing! We finally just gave up, only fired 21 rounds. It was just a guessing game as to where hold to hit them.

We shot 'em up good today. This morning was really good, shot bunches. We had to meet the rest of the guys at 11:00 for beans and b.s. Went back out in the afternoon and it wasn't as good. Shot quite a few but not like this morning. There was a stronger breeze and in a little different spot. Those might have had something to do with it. We did see two badgers at 2:30 this afternoon. Didn't manage to get them though.
