Badger down ! I shot one this morning with my.222, it was a male, weighed 15 lbs. 9 oz. and was stinking pretty good. Shot another one that was on the same mound but it managed to kick itself back down the hole before I could get another shot on it. I think it must have been gut shot. hoyt bow string Then about 20 minutes later I missed another one at 178 yds. I was afraid it was going to run before I could shoot and jerked the trigger. Rookie shooting, badger fever ! at least you still got one!

Yeah, I've managed to get 11 of them this year, with 218 Bee, 222 Rem., 204 Ruger and 6 m/m Rem. Went out this past Wednesday but didn't run across any. They're still out there and active, we saw lots of fresh digging in the holes. just a matter of being in the right place at the right time.

# 12 this morning, about 8:30 or so. Female, 16 lbs. 9 oz. 320 yds. with my 6 m/m Rem., 85 gr. Sierra H. P. She was a really nice fur badger, furred out real nice.
