I washed and tanned one of those Idaho badgers and the wife will not let it in the house. Could never get the stink out of it.

LOL, If you shoot one during their breeding season they can really stink. Especially the males. One of them I shot last week was stinking pretty good. I got that on my hands one time and like to ever got rid of it. It was with me for about three days. They can rival a skunk when it comes to stink.

I went out again today wit Gary and Red the Terror, aka Damien. We saw two badgers and Gary shot both of them. Maybe Gary will post pictures and details. That's all we saw to shoot at all morning other than one ground squirrel. Looks like ground squirrel shooting is about over for this year. Gary Here Again: Yep 2 badgers today, total surprise to see the two, we went all morning with nothing spotted. The morning was cool and a bit windy at times, but come about 10-10:30 am the wind died down some and the temp began to warm up a bit, enough to to see a couple whistlepigs and these 2 badgers. The first Badger of the day weighed in at 14#'s 12oz. One shot with the "Terminator" Ruger 77 thumb safety 6mm Remington, 75 gr, Hornady HP, 3600fps. SMOKIN!!! Badger #2 for the day a male 17# 2oz. Inspite not seeing any other critters, we had a good day, we finished the day off at Idaho Pizza Kuna. It is great to go hunting and enjoy a friends company, we have a great time going hunting together, and training the grandson as well!! Later Gary Timber Butte Outdoors

Yep! A good day shooting/hunting with good friends. Took us all morning to find those badgers, not much else stirring, a few hawks and ravens. Damien really gets excited about the badgers. It's fun watching him learn. He got to shoot grandpa's BL22 and "kill" a piece of firewood.

Awesome. What time of day did you see her? We got a late start and were out around 9:15 but didn't see a thing. I was up by Tripod meadows and got a few ground squirrels this last weekend. 3 rockchucks the weekend before. But, the Badgers are being elusive.

This one was around 10:00 a m. We get most of them in the morning. Gary also got a jack rabbit and we saw a coyote but couldn't get a shot at it before it got away. We saw a doe antelope too.

Gary got another one this morning on the way to Tom's Cabin. About 30 yds., Hornady, 3" nickel plated BB's. It crawled in the hole before it died, he could see it's back legs and rear end but couldn't reach it.
