Thought I'd give an update since the season is over. I finished the last day with my '72 Camaro at a test-n-tune with my fastest time, 10.22 in the quarter at 132.67mph and finally cutting pretty good lights but having issues as my motor is flat lining at 6700rpm and it has real horsepower in the low 7000s that I'm not reaching. Our buddy Bill is now running a big block Chevy with around 1000hp in the white Mustang and is running low 9's. Bob's '47 truck was running around 8.20's with him driving and our friend Rett drove it to around 8.09's last run because he said he is missing the shift light but Bob said it was because of his track tuning to hold the 620ci big block Chevy. Rett blew his motor this year and he too would like to touch the high 7's in the quarter. My son-in-law did not race this year as he is selling his motor to his brother and he is waiting for about a 1000hp big block for his S10 truck. We run with some others and I will be the only one left around 10 seconds as I will not put the cost to upgrade to go faster as I've got way too many gun things, hunting, reloading, etc., going to have any extra expenditures.
