First full run, 8.53 seconds at 157mph with the chopped, sectioned, channeled and full framed 620ci Chevy big block '47 Chevy truck. Bob even made the rear end housing on this along with the certified cage and frame. If you know how to embed, let me know but here is the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FO9sS8KCRM

Nice. That is a good looking car. Looks like I will be in the Spokane area early September for the races. At least that is what the plan is.

We've talked about going somewhere else to race just for no reason at all. Let me know the exact weekend and maybe if one of our guys isn't running for points we may go. If you win the season at one of the tracks here you get free entrance the next season and one of my buddies is in the hunt. I think 1st place right now but he just got his second car done and it is too fast for the class he is winning in.

It will be for the et finals. Where all the tracks meat up for a track run off. I am running a couple rounds out of first right now. Its rough every time I go 2 or 3 rounds so does the points leader haha.

Bob oiled the track with the tranny and was expecting the worse but the oil tube popped out. My buddy in the '72 Chevelle took runner up and Bob was conquering the money bash until the oil problem. Son-in-law took his S-10 under 10 seconds but they haven't made him stop or get a license yet. We'll see. Doing it with a n/a 468ci Chev big block and I think iron heads.
My car is up on jack stands while we rebuild the front suspension. I don't like moving it out to stock width but I think we are out of options for now. Maybe, just maybe, be done for racing this weekend, but it will be close.

I was in Woodburn this past weekend racing the divisional and went a new personal best at 7.06 at 190.78 mph. That was all motor no additives. The Top Dragster field was crazy fast I qualified 21 of 43 and the top 19 cars were all in the 6 second range including the number one qualifier who went a 6.14 at 233 mph. It was a good time 2nd round went .009 on the tree and went into tire shake... still saying choice words about that lol. It was a good trip.

That's movin'. I think one of the guys I know was there, Arron Spitzer in a box Nova, 66 or 67 fiberglass sponsored by Yukon. He's pretty good.

Yep I did se that Yukon car. That is a beautiful car. I believe he was running super street. I know sea level is awesome. I am still stuck at how we had so much shake. I made 6 passes with 60 foot times from a 1.044 to a 1.078 never any issues only launching the car at 4400. We have gone as high as 5400 before with no issues lol.

That's some pretty awesome 60' times. Bob's '47 is in the 1.teens and I'm right at the 1.5's. Big difference between the 1.5's and you guys.
I think I forgot to mention Bob won the cash bash and was runner up in one of the other categories in a two day event.

Very nice. I will be in Spokane in about a month at the ET Finals Bracket race. I am running for Team Firebird (obviously). Is he planning on going to that race do you know?

Not sure. At this point probably not. I cannot even go racing right now, kitchen all apart staining and sealing cabinets for my wife and she has flooring on her mind. I talked about getting another shotgun that was on sale and she said nothing is happening until the floor is paid for. After being married to me for 31 years, 22 years of the same floor and cabinets and not being updated, I've been hunting and racing the last 3, she probably is due for something for herself for the house. She raised 4 great kids and definitely deserves anything she asks for.

Lol that is probably a smart decision on your end. I was at the track this weekend final 6 went .004 to his .009 and I peddled and shouldn't have. I would have been dead on with a 9. he was dead on with a 5 I would have had it by about 5 or 6 ten thou but that is racing instead I gave him the bye to the final... haha
