I was under the opinion that .17hmr's generally have a flyer and that to fully cover with a dime consistantly would be nearly impossible at 100yds. It is possible to get them to stay in the 1" circle or square except now and again but not 5 shot group after 5 shot group, for say 5 groupings (25 shots). Did anyone else have better luck than I did and have their gun shoot again and again without flyers? Mine usually average about 1 flyer for every 5 shots that is farther than 1/2" from center of bulls eye And I'm counting if it is 9/16" or more is a flyer.
I know we were discussing this a while back but don't remember which thread.

I havent been able to take mine out on a bench and actually see what it shoots plus it needs a better scope.

Ammo is pretty hard to find yet so I haven't shot mine much. Have a 10% off for Cabelas and they didn't have one box. Another place had some but I'm too cheap to pay full price, 12.99/box + almost 10% tax here. See the first post of this thread for the challenge. I'm still under the idea that for the most part there are about 20% flyers that will not cover with a dime at 100yds.
