The Results of the 5th Annual Whistlepig Tournament:
The weather forecast for Saturday April 13th was not good! It was predicted to be cold, windy, and rainy. Well it was, as we were doing the registration in the morning. The wind was blowing at a good pace, but then it began to rain. Loren and I were saying that we doubted that anyone would show up for the tourney. Well we were wrong!
There was 7 teams signed up. Of those 7 teams we had 1 team of Youth Hunters and 1 team of Women, we also had a husband and wife team.
So we got everyone signed up, and they were off to fill their bags with whistlepigs, in hopes of having the heaviest bag.
The teams all had to be back before the 6pm cut-off and signed in, to be able to weigh their bags for the contest.
We had 5 teams show up on time, with one team returning late for check-in. 2 teams didn't return to check-in.
So here are the winners and the weights of the bags that won!
1st Place - Ed Phillips & Twinkle Byars - 90.2 pounds
2nd Place - Nick Hylton & Tim Hylton - 50.2 pounds
3rd Place - Nate Lauerman & Andrew Pontius - 16.8 pounds
Other teams had in weight: 2.6#, 1.6#, 9.0#(late Checkin)

Weighing the Bags
IVH would like to Thank everyone that came out and volunteered to help and those that participated in the event. As always we had a Great Time, had lots of fun visiting and getting to know new people and making friends with everyone. IVH hopes that we will see you all again, and it is our hopes that you all will join the club and be active members.
