I know that last year Gary organized and made a few trips out to the BLM grounds to pick up trash. There are a lot of things that bother me when Im out shooting but leaving trash behind is right near the top of the list. Just curious as to who all would be willing to participate in a one day trash hunt out in the BLM grounds. Im thinking of a specific area that I hunt frequently but suggestions for areas are welcomed. Ideas for how we could advertise this and get some good PR at the same time are also welcomed.
THANKS! Eric.

What day, what time, and where. If I know if this is Gem County, I can get my friends at the Gem County Landfill to bring a big dumpster to the location.

I just mentioned to Gary and Loren last night at the meeting that we needed to do a trash pickup day. Probably more than one. We tried to do it last year and no one responded. So lets get the word out and get tbis on this year. Everybody that has a pick-up, bring it. Plastic bags and gloves too. I'm available almost any day. Bob

Well I suppose we aught to try and get out there as soon as possible. Could everyone get mobilized by this weekend? Or would the following weekend work better? 2 weeks? Gary, How much notice will it take to coordinate getting a dumpster brought out there? ??AND WHO THREW THE TIRE OUT IN THE BLM GROUNDS, YOUR SUPPOSED TO TELL US WHERE ITS AT ??

Eric, I looked at the voters on the poll, and I think someone is jerking your chain! I don't think anyone on the list would actually do that! I hope!

Gary, I think the place we were shooting on wednesday would be a good place to start. That's the same place we were shooting last saturday and there's no shortage of trash ouit there. I don't think we'll have any trouble finding tires! It might not be a bad idea to bring along a rake and shovel. On wednesday I saw an old computer monitor some one had dumped right in the road and it had been shot at least a million tmes. I'm pretty sure we can fill a dumpster. Over on the east side of the paved road there's several gates to open and lots of cattle, doesn't seem to be quite as much trash either. Where ever you guys decide, I'm in. Bob

I just saw the post on Face book. Saturday, tomorrow, is the day? I want to do this so I'll have to change my plans, see if "unk" will postpone the gun show until sunday.

Hey Bob,
We can change it to next weekend. It is suppose to be in the 60's this weekend and 10% of precipitation. I am going to call the Landfill and see about a dumpster today, I hope it won't be to short a notice for them to drop one.
It is up to Eric, he is the mastermind of this thing!

No problem EarthWalker. yeah lets try to push it back to the 24th (sunday) or 30th (saturday) . This weekend might be short notice for everyone involved. The weekend of the 22nd Im heading up wolf hunting and I know that Big Ed and Twinkle have other things happening that weekend. I dont want to delay to long though. The hunting gets better later in the month and we dont want to be dodging bullets while trying to pick up trash. And just to be clear I might have started the thread on the Trash Pickup Day but Gary and the IVH club get full credit for this good deed Thanks All, Eric.
