Hey dogslayer, Did you get a badger recently? I missed one the other day, think I rushed the shot to much.

Did the first day of trying to hunt badgers. Looked quite a bit through binoculars and at the end took the rifle out and went or a walk. Seen a bunch of Whistle Pigs and then finally was staring at the white face at the same time he seen me and under the ground he went and that was the last I seen of him. I found another mound that was so fresh the dirt looked like it just got poured there with a bunch of badger scratches on the top. Instead of thinking about looking for Rock Chucks tomorrow I think I'm going to take another run at the badgers. Didn't even fire off the .243 one time. I know to hit the Whistles earlier too since they were out in force till about 9am and then once I switched to the .17hmr at 9:30 it was like someone told them the grim reaper was looking for them. The fat ones were realistically only out in the morning too, just the small dumb ones the rest of the day.
