Today is my 77th birthday. To celebrate the good health that God has blessed me with I went hunting. I made seven stands with no sign of a coyote. I did call in a bunch of yearlings though. They are a real pain. Here are some of them gathered around my Foxpro.

Hello Rimrock,
Happy Birthday! & Welcome to the IVH Forums. Congrats on another year of good health and coyote calling. Nothing keeps you going like calling predators. It makes the blood pump a little faster, and it becomes little warmer, especially when ol' wile comes slinking in to your call.
I hope when and if I make it to 77 years young, I can have a day of calling cows to my call, if not a coyote or two.
Again Happy Birthday & Welcome to the IVH Forums. I hope to meet you soon, maybe at the meeting on Tuesday evening.
Gary

Happy Birthday Rimrock. I can't think of a much better way to spend a birthday. Hope I can still make it out calling when I reach 77! I went out calling today with a couple friends today. It was COLD. All we called in was a magpie. Well Happy Birthday again and keep calling them. Bob

We had the same luck on your B-day Bob. We did some oregon/idaho border patrol that day without any luck. It looks warmer down where your at Rimrock. We had about a foot of snow during our first stand today and at one point the temperature guage in my car said -6 . Its fun getting out there all the same, even if you dont call anything in. Happy Birthday, Eric.

Eric, You are right. It was about 30 with frost. As soon as the sun came up it was very pleasant. Middle of the day it was in the mid 50's. A great day to be out. I remember hunting ducks in Idaho at -24. Wife thought I was crazy. Still does.

Now that is cold. So when you shoot a duck at that temperature does it shatter when it hits the ground ?
