Yeah buddy! Ive been having an internal debate on the next caliber to get.. Either an AR platform of some sort , or the polar opposite with an Air Rifle. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Are those the Columbian Ground Squirrels?
That area looks like the foothills east of Oakdale, around LaGrange and Don Pedro??

Gary, These are known as California Ground Squirrels. I understand that the Columbians are in the Northwest and Western Canada. In Northern Cal - Shasta County -- there are Beldings. I think these may also be in Idaho. Your guess is close. I shoot East of Oakdale also but these photos were made on the Western side of the valley. Just west of Patterson.

Awsome, brings back memories..1986 used to get a dollar apiece from ranchers to trap them. Thus starting my love for trapping and shooting! (north-east shasta county)
