beep's Sporting Goods and Walmart have removed all AR15 Type rifles, high capacity magazines, and AR15 accessories from their shelves. IVH is calling everyone to please Boycott Dicks Sporting Goods & Walmart for their stand in removing and refusing to sell AR15 rifles that are allowed by law. All these companies have done is; they have allowed the horriffic tragedy in Connecticut and the Gun Grabbers to win. Instead if standing firm to support the gun owners of America, and to help keep the Second Amendment strong! Here is contact info: www.dickssportinggoods.com/corp/index.jsp?page=contactPhone #: 1877-846-9997 I found this news article on the net: www.whas11.com/news/national/Dicks-Sporting-Goods-removes-all-guns-from-shelves-in-Newtown-Connecticut-183931311.htmlOne of my friends has contacted beep's with an email, telling them what he thought of their stand, in no uncertain terms, and he has sent back to them, his beep's credit card, and their membership discount card. Please follow suit, and give them your opinions and let them know that you will no longer support their stores.

Done, letter sent of my disappointment with their panty wetting liberal stand. And my last gun was purchased at Dicks. I'll pay my card of this month or next and I too will be canceling my credit card with them.

First off let me say this: My thoughts and prayers go to the relatives and friends of the victims. Having two children of my own its heart wrenching to think about the devastation and loss caused by such a senseless crime. I can feel the agony those families are going through and Im at a loss for how to help them..
Dicks and Walmart have misplaced their efforts to help. It wasnt the weapon that caused this horrific tragedy. It seems clear that this was directly related to a person suffering from mental illness. A seemingly better gesture would be to add some funding to mental health programs rather than stop selling guns.
A person with mental health issues and ill intent could have caused as much harm without the use of a gun. My Wife is a social worker and is working on getting her Masters degree. Therefore I hear a lot about how the government pulled the funding for many social work programs. These programs work and they need to be funded to be effective. We need to find the root of the problem and deal with that. The instrument used in a crime is rarely the root of the problem. To think that or to act on that notion shows a lack of thought (Walmart Dicks) A quote from a recently highly publicized local writer struggling with a son dealing with mental health issues "We need to provide affordable, quality mental health care for families."

Never bought anything from Dicks didn't see anything worth buying there. buy very little hunting items from wally world. don't like the AR types of rifles even though I have a .204 in the R15. don't shoot it anymore either.

Throw that .204 my way if you get tired of it. As long as it is free so I can still come home to a wife that doesn't understand the need for more than 10 guns since Obama has been in office.

I don't particularly like the AR type guns myself but I believe anybody that does should have the right to own and use one. It's a proven fact that they are good and accurate guns and have their place in hunting situations. It wasn't so many years ago that bolt actions were "military" guns.If we let them take one type of gun it will just be a matter of time until they start on another type, maybe bolt actions, or levers? We can't let them get their foot in the door. Bob
