Hey guys! A little about me.. new member here. my dad and I just got a couple AR's to plink and chase predators with. My dad went with a Daniel Defense V3 & I decided on a Windham Weaponry CDI (AWESOME COMPANY, old bushmaster crew) anyway I'm fixing to get a scope soon and would like some advice on what size scope is the best for a good balance between chasing yotes and plinking... * 2-8X32 *2.5-10X36 *3-9X40 I've basically narrowed it down to Leupold or Nikon (prob. Leupold) Let me know what brands you favor, What magnification you favor, and everything else you can think of. I hope I can get some input.. all information would be great Thanks, Aaron

Hello Aaron,
Welcome to the IVH Forums. Those new guns sound like sweet stuff. I am going to assume that they are 223 Rem. caliber.
If I was going to be calling coyotes, I would go with a 3x9x40 Leupold. But if I was wanting to be plinking or shooting a little farther away, I think I would go with the Nikon Coyote Special in 4x12 or the Nikon Dead-On in 4x12 or 4x16. Any of these will do you good for hunting or plinking.

Yeah, welcome to the forums Aaron. I think my next rifle will be an AR platform of some sort so I'm interested in hearing yours and your Dads reviews of your rifles. Gary gives good advice on scopes so I don't have much to add there. Either way you go, Nikon or Leupold, your going to be happy. -Eric
