Good job on the dog! Did you call it? Or was it a volunteer?
You are right, there is a bunch of private land out there, so you have to be careful not to get on the private land. There is some BLM and Stae land in there, but you have to have a map to find out what is what.
BTW: What rifle and caliber, reloads or factory, and what load? We need more info! What call (handcall or electronic) and sound were you using??? Gary

I'm using smithwesson mp OCR AR 15 16in barrel in 5.56 with a 2x7 scope Can forget the Savage .243 with 3x9. I use a gps with a blm map on it. The map program shows private, blm, fss, property lines it shows everything great program i never leave home with out it. I use a fox pro wildfire caller pup distress 3 and the yips and howls are my bread and butter of calling. I think owhyees is my next stop this Tues day or wed

Good job on the coyote. Yeah, those GPS's are great. I've got to get one. There's lot's of open public land in the Owyhee's. Depending on the area, the dogs get called at a lot down there. The farther out you go the better. Good luck.
