Hey everybody, Let's give Gary and his mother our prayers and thoughts. I just talked to him and she had a stroke on Saturday afternoon. she's in I C U at the hospital in Boise. Gary's a great guy and thinks of everybody else in their time of need. Let's give him our prayers and support. You might wait a few days to call him, he's pretty physically and emotionall drains, probably needs a little alone time. Bob

Hey Folks,
Here is an update on my mom. I spent the entire day (11 hours) at the hospital today.
The Dr's couldn't get mom's blood pressure down and regulated. In 2008 she has a problem with the B.P. and the Dr's were not able to get it under control, then they found out that the renal artery had constricted in 2 spots, and there was no blood flowing through the kidney, which mean that the hormone that regulates B.P. was not being produced.
Well, when she went into the hospital after the stroke, I told the Dr's about the artery being stented. Well finally after a week of trying to regulate the B.P., and my telling them several more times, they finally decided to see about the artery blockage. Well this morning, I was called and told that they were going to do a angioplasty and scope the artey to see if it was blocked. At 12 noon they came an got her for pre-op preperation, in an hour and a half later, she was out and in recovery in her ICU room.
The Dr. came and talked to me, and told me what he had found and what he had done to her. In the junction of the Aorta and the Renal Artery on both entrances, the opening was almost completed included. So the put a stent in each opening.
So now we are waiting to see if this procedure is going to get the blood through the kidneys, and the B.P. begins to regulate on it's own. They were talking this evening about moving her into a room out of ICU tomorrow, then they will keep her for a couple more days to make sure of the B.P.
But as for her left side, she has partial paralysis, and no feeling in her left side. Which they are saying it is possible that when the blood on the brain goes away she may get some of her feeling and muscle control back - (crossed fingers).
Thank You for the prayers and thoughts. Gary
