Idaho Varmint Hunters (IVH) Goals
“For the People, by the People”
It is the goal of IVH to build an organization that is directed by the membership. Each member paid and in good standing; will have one vote per issue brought before the Club.
It is our vision to amass an active membership, in order to establish a strong presence within the varmint/predator hunting arena, for the expressed purpose of preservation of the sport, protection of our hunting heritage, public lands, as well as Our Second Amendment Rights.
It is our goal to build a large organization, strong in its philosophies and policies, with the ambition of attracting additional like-minded organizations to journey to Idaho and the Northwest to participate in organized events.
It is also the goal of IVH to successfully create a network with other clubs and organizations in the Western U.S. Create an organization that would form a round table platform, for the expressed purpose of affiliating qualifying organizations in building a Regional Network, like other organizational networks that have been formed in other fields of endeavor.
A major Club imperative is the immediate future of IVH! This entails, recruiting families with young hunters! It is essential & necessary to get youth hunters involved in the sport and the Club. To assure that the Sport, Our hunting heritage, and the IVH Club will remain intact for generations to come!
To teach or train them in the proper use of firearms, hand calls, electronic calls, proper shooting protocol, skinning, fleshing, preservation, conservation, self- reliance! Helping make them confident and responsible individuals! Our Youth are the future of the Idaho Varmint Hunters!
It is our goal to provide essential varmint hunting information, through a forums website, and through social media, anyone that wishes to find the info, will be able to find calling information, shooting information, pelt preservation, and conservation, contributed through a network of experienced and professional hunters; that will provide beneficial learning tools to novice and experienced hunters alike.
It is our goal to have events that will be open to members and the public alike. These will include shooting, hunting and non-hunting events. i.e. calling contests, varmint shooting contests, inanimate object shoots, fund raisers, community awareness events, gun shows and Sportsman’s Shows and Expos.
It is our goal to educate & provide a range preservation & maintenance program.
Range preservation; Mostly, concerning litter and general "junk" dumped out on the BLM. Helping the shooting public become aware of the misuse of our public lands is a huge issue. We have all seen the litter and garbage that recreational shooters leave out on the range, and the piles of trash people have blatantly dumped. Seizing the opportunity to partner with the County Commissioners, BLM, and other organizations to help relieve and stop this problem, before we are not allowed to use our own public land.
