I just got off the phone talking to Harold (Harold is our friend, he is one of the Founders of IVH, and a Member of IVH).
He told me that his wife Norma, has been ill, and was getting worse, when he took her to the Doctor.
He told me that they found CANCER!!
This all the info that I have at this time. As I get more, I will post it.
Please add Norma to your prayers, asking the Lord for His healing touch, and to place His hand of comfort for Norma, and Harold.
Thank You! Gary

I got an update today about Harold's wife Norma.
The Dr's found a tumor that sits right next to her spine, in the lower part of her back.
The GOOD NEW's is - it is not CANCER! The tumor is benign.
The Not So Good New's, she is going to have surgery - and the surgery is very complicated, being right up against the spine.
Please keep her in your prayers!
I had dinner with Loren tonight. He told me that Connie is doing Ok! with the Chemo treatments, but, she has had some bad days with being sick - Loren called the Doctor a couple times to ask questions about side effects of the treatments, and nausia, and lack of appetite. But they are giving her major doses of anti nausia meds, and other meds to help her through it.
Please keep her in your prayers also!
More news when I get it! Gary

UPDATE 7-1-2012
I talked to Loren, he told me that he talked to Harold, Harold siad that Norma had the operation to remove the tumor near her spine.
The Dr's did a Laproscopic Surgery, which is less invasive than an open surgery. If they had done an open surgery, they would have had to move her organs (kidneys, intestines) out of the body and/or way, then remove the tumor.
With the Laproscopic Surgery, they make a series of small incisions. then they went into the body without touching anything but the tumor and surrounding connective tissues.
Harold said that Norma came through it well, and will be going home in a day or two.
Congratulations Norma - We wish you a swift recovery! God Bless! Gary
