What kind of maps are you thinking about?
I/We live in Emmett. I have been calling, hunting, trapping coyotes, fox, badger, etc....for the past 40 years!
My suggestion is: Not to waste your time out here! There are very few coyotes in this area anymore, and those that are here, have been educated to the 10th degree. No need to become frustrated, and waste your time, and money in gasoline.
People are always shooting out here in the BLM Lands, and traveling the backroads hunting. But! If you have private property (farm or ranch) to hunt, you may be able to call a dog or two.
I am not telling you this so that you won't come out and hunt this area - I am telling you this so that you will call areas that are more productive, and you will not become discouraged.
My suggestion is to hunt the area south of Blacks Creek, or the Danskins area.
Maps - Purchase one of the DeLorme Atlas Books - the Big Red Books for Idaho. It shows BLM, State Land, and Private Property, and all the roads in an area.
I hope this will help you get going. Hope we get a chance to meet someday! Gary
