New to forum and varmint hunting...long time deer/elk hunter but need to get some hunting in closer to the house between seasons. Went out to blacks creek today to get some extra practice in (never can have enough). On the way back home spotted two coyotes 100-150 yrs out on private property. Lucky or atleast in the right area to start Look forward to gaining knowledge from all here on the boards...

Professor
Welcome to the IVH Forums. Glad to have you here. We hope we can be useful in instructing you in how to call predators successfully.
You know the old saying: Practice, Practice, Practice! A person can never get enough practice. The more you are out in the sage, blowing a call, the more you learn, and closer to the goal you will be. Even if you get to see them on private land, at least your day wasn't a bust.
I am sure that you have read that we have club meeting each month - might be good to come and meet the crew, ask questions, pick brains, get to know us, and us; you! Then decide to join the club and show your support for the sport that we all love.
Don't forget, we like hunting stories, but love stories with pictures of the hunt!
Welcome! Gary
