For all you varmint hunters that put up your fur and sell them, I have come across some fur prices that I thought you would be interested in. These charts are from March 2011 Fur Sales - Two seperate Fur Auctions from different parts of the Country. These charts are for comparison purposes, to give you an idea about what the market is acually doing. Maybe to help you decide whether or not to keep your pelts, and to help you decide to sell your fur or not. Idaho Trappers Association Fur Auction - March 2011 These charts show the animals thet we have and are able to hunt here in Idaho. I purposely did not include the info about the Timber Wolf, because it is not the Canadian Grey Wolf, which we have here in the Northwest US. The info come from the Fur Harvesters Auction Inc. Timber Wolf - 243 Offered - 90 % Sold Arctic - $346.00 Average - $725.00 Top Western - $188.37 Average - $475.00 Top Eastern - $101.92 Average - $410.00 Top It appears that the real fur is making a comeback in popularity, and the fur industry is starting to make headway into a boom as in the 1970's fur prices, making a 5% gain over the previous season, with a 14 Billion dollar advance in the global fur market.

Thanks a lot for the info Stickman. Looks like a good coyote could be worth skinning out and working over on the stretcher board in the near furture. I think if a person can get 25 plus dollars for coyotes then the process would be worth it to put up fur, less then that no thanks. Bobcats sure bring a nice price, they have been solid for the past few years. Three-four hundred bucks average is good money. What we spend going after coyotes for sport, one fat cat brings in some serious gas cash! I like getting after coyotes no matter what. It's good to see coyote furs increasing a little bit.

I had noticed on a couple of other forums, the average prices for a coyote were around $31 and $38, from two different Idaho fur buyers at the end of the 2011 season.

buckfynn,
Thank you for that info! Please PM me, and let me know the 2 forums names, so that I can monitor them for the current fur market prices.
Thank You! Gary
