I got my first bear last week, then Cousin Predatortoprey got his bear & now yesterday 5/23/11 my son got his first ever. He did it at 20 yards and will have a danged hard time ever getting a better coastal blackie.

This brusier weighted 405 # on a certified scale! He did it with a damned stick & string....You have no idea how much fun looking for a BIG bear like this, knowing it has only been hit with a sharp stick as it's getting dark and no blood trail in this thick as fur rainforest! We were packing and skinning until about 1 AM....I'm SO tired!

When I die I want to come skidding through the Pearly Gates an hear God say, "Whoa boy, that was one heck of a ride!"

broper: Nice buck ! I haven't got out this year. Season ends Tuesday and we are getting lots of rain and supposed to keep raining through about Thursday. So I probably won't get out this year. Oct 24, 2021 6:46:00 GMT -7
