Nice work. Can you say where the feral hog was killed or is it a "secret"? Always wanted to hunt tem.

Bob,
The Fish and Game estimates there are upwards of 70 hogs around Bruneau to CJ Strike res. There isn't any bag limit, no season and you can apply for a spotlight permit to hunt at night if you like.
Soon I am going to do a fly over to see if I can spot where they are or where they are destroying the ground. These pigs are very destructive and multiply very quickly.

Thanks, I take a lot of pride in the mounts that I do, just as I would want someone else to take care of what I have spent the time, effort and money to hunt and harvest. This pig came out of Central Oregon. That is about all that I know. If you do a little research on the net I am sure that you can find several places. I do know that there is a ranch out by Shoshone Falls that has a hunt for hogs a couple times a year. I will be checking this one out this fall for a spring 2012 hunt. It is a smaller ranch than what is in Oregon, but I have seen some of the hogs that have been harvested and I would tip them over anytime.

I have heard of the hogs around Bruneau, I was just wondering if there were some somewhere else. I know in a lot of states feral hogs have become a real problem.

As far as I know these are the only ones around Southern Idaho. TX, AZ & CA have a real big problem with them and they are very damaging to the ground and creeks. Kill them all and eat them.
