Looks to be a good weekend for doing some killing and wildlife viewing. I am hoping to see some new posts and pic's from the group. I enjoy the Fox pic's and stories from Leper and Kenny, now I ready for some carnage stories and pic's. I'll be out for at least two days starting in just a few minutes. Get out and enjoy the weather while it lasts. Last weekend I was in 81 degree weather looking for a bear and then on Monday it snowed 4". Crazy!
Should have some Rock Chuck pic's later today.

My yote hunting partner had a couple of his old high school buds over from Western Oregon. We took them out today for a little rock chuck spot and shoot. Good shots for city boy's. They were both able to stretch the barrels out and make some fine shots in winds that were anywhere from head on to cross 15 mph+. Single shot Terry was shooting a H&R 243. I must say for a very short rifle I'm am impressed. Then there is Bob, I watched him pull a 484 yard shot on a big chuck, with at least a 10 mph cross wind and with a rifle that he had never touched before. He actually took two chucks off of the same rock in about 10 minutes at that yardage. My wife took her best shot of the year whit her 7mm-08, 333 yards on a small chuck. Scooped him off of the sun bathing rock and slammed him on the ground. We were able to get some pretty good video of the shooting and the carnage. I'm up early in the a.m. to try to even the score on a bear. Here are some pic's from today's chuck spot and shoot. First bunch of chucks at 270+ yards. My wife's 333 yard shot. 390 yard shot And the shot of the day 484 yard smack down. Hope to have good news on a bear tomorrow.
