Howdy fellers, My cousin, Predatortoprey, told me about this sight where he "posts his carnage photos". I thought it would be a good place to see his shots and meet a few other hunters.
I've been a hunter & fisherman as far back as I can remember. My favorite shooting is sage rats/ squeekers, (I don't know what ya call 'em in Idaho). I've called a few coyotes over the years and am now working on a spring bear in the coast range of Oregon. With luck I'll tag my first this year.
I've hunted Africa twice on three safaris & have one more safari coming that I'll probably mostly hunt their varmits...jackal, baboon, honeybadger, monkeys, etc.
The biggest varmit I've ever taken was my lioness on my first safari.
I was going to post a photo of her but can't figure your link system yet.
Regards, Karamojo Bill

Karamojo Bill,
Welcome aboard the IVH Forums. Please make yourself at home. Post your stories, and photos, and any questions you may have. We are a good bunch of guys, with a couple hundred years combined experience in hunting, shooting, reloading, calling, etc..........
We love to shoot varmints. We have a bunch of names for ground squirrels (whistlepigs, picketpins, potguts, diggers, squeekers, etc...) I just call them lots of fun targets.
As for posting pictures - there is a tutoral in the "General Discussion" forum - called "How to Post Pictures" It will help you with posting pictures.
Are you calling the bear?
WOW Africa! Thats cool!
Maybe one day you will get to come and do some hunting with your cousin here in Idaho, and post the story and pictures of your adventure.
Again! Welcome to the IVH!
Good Hunting Gary

Glad to see you on here Billy. You know that all you have to do is give me a date and show up for some carnage. We are still killing plenty of whistle pigs and the chucks are enjoying this cool spring weather. We seen a lot of Rock Chucks on the float trip this year. The sad part is I never take a rifle on the river trip.
Good luck on your spring bear. After you get the hide off of the bear, just get the skull in the freezer in a plastic sack. I'll get you a great looking European skull.
Looking forward to a pic or two of your lioness. In my book that is a top line predator. I'm sure there are several stories I have not been told.

I'm your huckleberry, Tony. I was waiting for you to call me as I have all the time in the world being retired & you still at the saltmines....I still want in on that WY antelope hunt even if all I can shoot is does. LOVE goat meat!
Hey are you & the beautiful Miss T coming fishing this summer?
Yep guys, lions.....There is NOTHING in the world as big of a rush as hunting an animal that: 1). HATES your guts! 2). Can go from 0-40mph in 10 yards. 3). Can hide behind a friggin' blade of grass. 4). Sees you as only a food source.
Stickman, Yep I'm calling bears...I hear that they come in better after the elk & deer start dropping their young. Just found a mentor down here that shot a 400#+ boar last week.
I have some carnage shots of sage rat/squeekers from the last 5 days & one video that is kinda graphic where I knicked one with a .17HMR that has a bad case of the flips I'll post here somewhere.

Well, I figured out how to post a signature & avatar. I chose my lioness that weighted 220 kilos...(around 450 pounds). That's a heck of a varmit . I was told that she was as large as some of the males. Sure, I'd like to have taken a male but the females were less $$$ and a LOT meaner. I was charged by her sister the next day and dang near had to change pants. I puked right after walking up on her in the grass & shook for over 4 hours! WHAT A RUSH...There is NOTHING like it.....someday elephant. Now THAT is a big varmit.
