I live in central Iowa BTW. I would love to live in your state or a neighboring one. Went through those states when I was a teenager. Had I been abit older with cash in my pocket, I'd still be there. Love the upper Mid West. Stalked & belly crawled up on these pups yesterday. Got to within 60yrds or so. They heard me snapping dried hay stubble, game over ;D. Interesting thing I've learned about the Reds over the years. Adult & pups alike, pay close attention to slight high pitched abrupt noises. Such as sqeeks or snaps. Flipside, they both "often" dismiss loud [base tone noises]. Zoomed in around 60yrds away.

Thanks for the invite, Kenny. I don't travel anymore, so it is unlikley. Next place I plan to go is Heaven, I can't wait.
As for commenting on people's pics. I would say, indifference. Most pics don't turn out. I click until I get a few decent ones.

You are welcome!
I know what you are saying, the traveling gets tougher as the years pass by. Kind of like, oh well, been there done that. lol
I am looking forward to going home one day soon also. As we know this is not our home, we are just aliens passing through as Paul told us. Won't it be a glorious time when we all meet in heaven?
I know everyone that views the photos love them, most just don't blog much. So keep them coming my friend.

Got my eye on a few more dens, Kenny. I can't get out there close to posistively I.D. But two of them might be coyote dens? Crops are getting planted, so getting out into the fields, are slim & none.
Anyway, it's been rain on & off. So in a couple of days I should have some more sightings. Two other Red dens I've been watching are right off the edge of the gravel roads. Once those pups appear, I should get some neat pics.
Speaking of Heaven. One of my older Sisters had a "near death" experience when she was 17yrs old [she is near 60 now]. She told me she went to Heaven, & seen my Dad's parents. There was some winged Angels standing by them. Grandpa never said a word to her. But, Grandma told my Sister. "It is not your time yet, Mary. You need to go back now"
Moments later, Sister then went back through the dark tunnel & her spirit rentered her chest/sternum area. She said, that it hurt her chest. As she became consious right then. Sister said, Heaven was beautiful, warm & loving. And she didn't want to leave.

More great photos!
Look at the pups, how cute they are. They will get use to you being around and not as skiddish. I did this with a barn owl once on our second story deck. The front of the house at the deck was all windows, at first when I approached he would fly away, day after day I went up there to watch him, eventually I was able to walk out on the deck and stand directly underneath him and he would just look at me.
:This all took about two to three weeks, as he seen I was not a threat to him we became buddies. I got some great photos of him.

Buds? I don't know, Kenny ;D Only thing the Reds & I have in common. Is neither of us like cats. They act abit different than any coyote I ever watched while on the hunt. Slink low crawling, like a cat then pouncing Your right though, they tend to get use to people after a while. When my Dad was a kid. He watched a Red run clear across the city park from the river area, during the day time. Red, ran onto a house porch, where a city cat had it's back towards the park, preening itself. Red grabbed that cat by the back of the neck. Dad said they both rolled around quite abit, then the cat went limp. Red drug the cat back towards the river bottom. Dad said, that fox wasn't much larger than the cat.
