I went out yesterday, wednesday, and shot a few. The wind was blowing a little and it was kinda chilly. Not really a very good day but, I did manage to shoot about ten before I gave up. Also watched a hawk dive and catch one. Sure wish the weather would straighten out so we could get some good shooting. Maybe so, someday.

Hey good going Bob, I took an atv ride out in the Owyhees yesterday and it was the same, cold, very cold and very windy. I ended up coming back down to just south of the scales on Hwy. 95 where it was not as windy and 15º warmer and rode out in the desert scoping out new places to hunt. Kenny

I went out yesterday at 11:30. I waited for almost an hour before seeing 1 (including my drive to the honey hole)...ANyhow, the wait was well worth it. When I left at 2:40, I counted 33 bodies. I couldn't load the 17 fast enough!

Bob,
I did stop overlooking a canyon and saw one whistle pig running into his hole, but then never seen him pop out again. The best part of the entire ride was that canyon with a creek running down in the bottom of it.
What an awesome view! It did give me the willies standing right on the edge of the canyon in the wind on loose rocks. I also came across another creek that led into a small lake, I saw some old scat but no coyotes at that time. A small hill top would be an excellent stand to watch over about 270º for a long distance.
I am going to take a ride next week out in the Owyhees with a friend, not sure where we are going, but then it really doesn't matter as everywhere in the Owyhees is beautiful and breath taking at times. Sorry I missed the meeting as I was preoccupied with other family things.

I might try to get out out into the Owyhees next week myself. I'm wanting to go up to Owyhee resevoir and try some crappie fishin, too though. I have lots to do around home to do too. What's a guy to do?

I went out yesterday, they were out in pretty good force even though there was a breeze. Shot a few with the .218 Bee then got out the 10/22 and really got serious. I was only out about 2 1/2 hrs. but had a blast. Sure is a good way to relax and get things off your mind for awhile. I was hoping I might see a badger but no luck.

Bob,
Sounds like you had a good time in the outdoors, sure beats doing honey-doo's. I am going ATV riding up out of Murphy today, it is suppose to be 81º in Murphy today. Lets get out and shoot some squirrels next week. Drop me a line.
