I am looking for a do-it-yourself kit to como my TC .223 barrel / forarm and scope I use for preds. I have seen one someplace but for the life of me, can not remember. Anyone got any clues...

Hey Randy, It depends on how expensive and extensive you want to go. Here is a link to LauerWeapons they make the DuraCoat system. www.lauerweaponry.com/I googled rifle camouflage kits, there are a bunch of them, you will have to go and look them over, until you find one that make your cheeks sqweak. I made my own templates and painted my rifle with krylon or something like it! It works out pretty well. I looked for camo patterns on the net, printed them out on a full sheet of paper, then cut out different parts on several sheets, then transfered that shape to a stiff paper, cut it out with a razor blade, and used that as a spray template. If you want a good looking camo job for not a lot of money, I just lightly sand the stock. Then take blue painter tape and tear off the straight edges so it looks "organinc" (rather than geometric) & tape it off like a zebra or tiger pattern. Then Krylon OD green paint. Then I just break up the green with tan stripes. Peal off the tape before 24 hours when it gets really hard & can chip...
