There's not much activity on here. Anyone doing any hunting or shooting? I went out one day last week looking for Whistle pigs but when I got out there the wind was blowing pretty good. Saw several but they were running from hole to hole and wouldn't stop for a shot. I think I shot three the whole time I was out. I was over in Vale, Ore. last week and saw 10 or 12 'chucks all in one group out in a field, sure made me want to get out and shoot some. Hopefully there will be a couple days next week nice enough to get out after 'em.

I hunt year round. Just when it's hot it slows down some. We are calfing right now. We had a fire at the ranch yesterday been busy with that. But still calling.

I know what you are saying this forum is pretty quiet. I have been out a few times in Jordan Valley, into Idaho and over to the Bruneau area. I as mainly scouting new areas in Bruneau as it was very windy.
I am going to go flying over the Bruneau to CJ Strike area to see if I can find where the wild pigs are. They are very elusive so I would like to know at least what area they are in.
When this weather gets better lets get together and shoot some ground squirrels and whistle pigs.
Hey Clint watch for those dogs around the calf's.

Oh Iam. We had a cow go down yesterday. So we moved her today to the dead pit. In two or three days we will set up on that pit. Don't worry to much about the board slowing down. Mine does as well as the others. Just that time of year. People doing other things. Just keep posting when you can. Good on them hogs. Find them then put out some pig pipes.

Hello All,
Nothing going on here. Weather has been to bad to get out into the MUD roads hunting. We had another gully washer, toad strangler, down pour, here in Emmett today, and has rained almost all day. Man I am feeling like (a duck) Idaho has been moved west to the Oregon Coast.
Waiting for the club meeting on April 12th, and preparing for the Whistlepig Tournament on April 16th. And doing TBO business as usual.
I hope it is sunny for the Tournament on the 16th?

Hey Kenny, I'd like to meet you and get together sometime and shoot some whistle pigs or something. I was out the other day and saw a whistlepig with snorkleing gear on!!!! LOL. I think I know where some rockchucks are not to far away too. I'm very interested in those wild hogs too but haven't been able to find out much about them. Bob

Bob,
Sounds good to me, give me a call or I will call you next week and see what shakes out. My wife and I took a drive out west of the freeway at the Sand Hollow exit a week or so ago. Hopefully the rain will quit before the grass gets too high to see the ground squirrels.
I'll let you all know what I find out on the wild hogs. I don't think there are too many, but that's the way we want to keep it. Ask Califronians or Arizona folks, they are terrible.

Yeah, I'd like to be able to hunt some wild hogs but don't want them to get out of control. Texas has a real problem with them too. With all this rain the grass and weeds will probably grow fast. Hope there's a couple nice days this week.

Bob,
I haven't had a chance yet to go flying due to the weather to locate the pigs. Hopefully this coming week will be better weather to go flying. Tomorrow I am going on an ATV ride up around Ola with the Emmett ATV club, if I spot some good coyote areas I will log it on my gps for later hunts.
Bob, do you do any ATV riding?
