Well! The 2011 Idaho Sportsmans Expo has come to an end for another year.
We had a great time! Alot of work, and Loren and I are very tired this morning. But the show was very good for the club.
We talked to alot of people, and made a bunch of contacts for the club, and were approched by several large organizations, wanting to be involved with our organization.
I will not go into any specific details here, but as the details are worked out and we have all the info, and the details are refined, we will reveal the details, for your attention and support.
During the ISE, on our booth table we had flier handouts for the April 16th Whistlepig Tournament, the Northwest Nationals Coyote Calling Championships, and IVH Club Membership forms. Of all these we handed out about 600 total forms.
We had alot interest in the whistlepig tournament, as always! People would walk up to the booth, see the flier and a big grin would come across their face (like a kid in a candy store).
Harold was manning the booth, while Loren and I went to get some lunch, a lady came by the booth, when she saw the whistlepig tournament flier, she actually got so excited she began jumping up and down, and spraying her drink all over the place.
We talked to a bunch of people that were interested in joining the club. We told them what the club was all about, what we do, and about our events.
We would answer their questions about the club. Questions about varmint hunting, coyote calling, reloading, guns, scopes, our calls - hand calls, and electronic calls, shooting sticks, and all the other equipment that we use to make a stand, or persue our quarry. And we learned alot from some of the folks that we talked to. They say: you can always teach an old dog new tricks!!! If you are not learning something new everytime you go into the field, you may as well take up golf!
We would then let them know about the club meeting on Tuesday night, and invited them to come down to Smokey Mt. Pizzeria on Fairview Ave. in Meridian at 7PM to check us out. We can then sign them up at the meeting if they like what they see.
There were a bunch of people that were interested in participating in the NNCCC (Northwest Nationals Coyote Calling Championships) in November. We explained how the NNCCC works to them, and answered their questions.
I would like to send out a "Special Thank You!" to Spectra Productions & Carla Armentrout for the Great Show.
Well, I hope to see you all at the meeting tomorrow night, we have a lot to talk about.
