For those that may be wondering about this offer I can assure you as last years winner it's a day you won't soon forget. I don't remember the exact number of badgers we spotted and of course there were the two I missed but we really had a great time and most of all I had the opportunity to meet some of the best people I have had the pleasure to meet in all my hunting travels. And whistlepigs, Oh my they have a bunch of them little buggers out there and they are a riot to shoot.
Get signed up and in the process get the chance to own a great piece of equipment. I not only use it for coyote hunting but I also carry my duck gun in to some of the places we hunt with it. Rick

I want to get this correct, to enter for the free hunt I have to buy a sling? Is this the only way to get an entry to the drawing? Kenny

Kenny,
To answer your question? "Is this the only way to get an entry to the drawing?" Yes! it is!
Timber Butte Outdoors is the sponsor of this drawing. A percentage of the purchases of the slings goes to the IVH Club to pay for the fuel and food for the winners hunt.
More over the hunt is a way to introduce the club to potential members, and to get the name of the club out to more people & word of mouth; about what we are doing for the calling/hunting community.
Without the sling purchases, we couldn't afford to do this, So Timber Butte Outdoors has stepped up and combined efforts with IVH to give hunters from outside our area, to experience the phenominal badger and whistlepig hunting that we enjoy.
With you being a member of the club & living here in the Treasure Valley, you will not need to enter this drawing to get a chance to do a hunt like this with us - We will get to go and do it at our leisure, anytime, any day during the spring, before it gets to hot. So! Hang In There!

Is this a public lands hunt? Do you just drive and spot the badgers or do you set up to call them. I don't want to sound negative but, it sounds like this is the same as the regular get togethers you talk about except I have to buy something and get a sandwich from the club.

ejones204,
Welcome to the IVH Forums! Thank You for joining the forums. We appreciate your interest in IVH!
Yes, this is a public lands hunt. This is the winners hunt! We will do whatever they want to do. We will drive and spot, but we are doing spot and stalk, and/or spot and call to the badger spotted. We are looking for active, out of the hole, badgers. There is no need to call to a bunch of plugged holes without success. That is aggrevating and frustrating for the hunters.
The lunch will be better than a sandwich, last year we wound up at the Stage Stop and had dinner inside the restaurant, taking in the motionless comfort and good conversation at the round table.
Yeah it is a bunch of good guys and gals from the club getting together to have a good time, and show the winners that the Idaho Varmint Hunters is a real club, comprised of real people that enjoy varmint and predator hunting and calling, the same as they do.
We want the world to know that IVH is here, and that we want them to be a part of our club, to help us grow into a world reknowned organization, so that IVH can be a leader in securing the future of predator hunting for generations to come.
As for buying something! Please read my post above, it will explain what it is all about.
Thank You. Gary
