Reds have been holed-up in roadway culverts, during the day time hrs. Most of this Winter so far. Very few laying out anymore. Seen this pm pr laying around 400yrds out. Wind was a NorWester 20-30mph, well below zero WC. I watched them for about a 1/2 hr then moved on. Before I left, I squalled on Pee-Wee. They both raised their snow covered faces & looked my way. Seen this am Red laying around 1/2 mile out. Mighty dark & pretty pelt on this one. He's tempting me ;D Lucky for him I don't hunt them anymore. I drove around the section & got abit closer for some pics. Here, I'm directly up-wind from him. He is around 1/4 mile out.
