My name is Bob. I've been lurking around several other varmint/predator sites for quite awhile. I ran across this one in Predator Masters, decided to check it out. Seems like a pretty good one. I've shot several coyotes over the years but have never called one in myself. Hope to change that before long. I'm thinking about joining the club.

Hello Bob
Welcome to IVH. Glad you found us! And glad you joined the forums.
We would be glad to have you as a member. We can work this one of two ways, You can come to the meeting and I can sign you up then, and you can meet the gang, we are a great bunch of guys.
Or I can send you a membership app in the mail, and then you can come meet the gang. We are a bunch of great, fun loving friends, like I told keenymill, we like to get together and visit and eat good food, and talk shop, and conduct club business.
We can help you change that not calling a coyote thing. We can get to know one another, figure out schedules and then go out and call some dogs.
Do you have any calling equipment, calling rifle/shotgun, hand calls, shooting sticks, ecaller, etc.... The hand calls and ecaller are not important if you go with one of us, a rifle and shooting sticks are important, and maybe a 12 ga shotgun.
If you haven't called in a coyote? Have you been calling before, do you have calls and do you know how to use them?
Sorry for all the questions, it just helps us to get to know you better.
I have 35 years experience calling predators, IVH President Loren has as many or more years experience, VP Matt is a young guy but he is really good, and is ProStaff for a couple big company names, including my company Timber Butte Outdoors.
We also have a few guys that are new to calling, and have yet to call a dog or have yet to shoot one. So, you see we have a wide range of experenced guys, from novice to well experienced. We really enjoy helping the new guys to learn, so they are successful in a shorter time.
Thanks, Gary

I'm very interested in becoming a member. Don't know if I can make the next meeting or not but I will if possible. I have several suitable rifles and also a 12 ga. I have an e caller, it's a Phantom Predator by Extreme Dimension Wildlife Calls but it's not wireless. A friend had it and asked if I would take it as partial pay for some work I had done for him. It was new, not used when I got it. Also have a few hand calls but don't know if I'm using them right. I work at Sportsman's Warehouse in Meridian. I went out last year with the fishing manager, he's been calling and shooting coyotes for years. We called one with his foxpro, I couldn't shoot for fear of giving him a major muzzle blast so he took the shot. Missed at 30 yards with his Encore .204 but jumped up and got her on the run at about 75 yards. We saw another but it never came closer than about 600 yards then disappeared in a canyon and we never seen it again. I was going to go with him some more but he got a job with UPRR and moved to Wyoming. The only coyotes I've killed have been ones that I just happened onto while hunting something else. I did get four badgers year before last while shooting whistlepigs.

Bob,
We can help you with calling dogs. If and when the weather either freezes the ground or it dries up, we can get a day to go calling we will.
It seems that you have what you need to get started. And with you working at Sportsmens, you have access to what else you might need in the future.
We are glad to have you here, and would be glad to have you as a member of the club.
I sent you a PM, talk to you about it later.
Gary
