I haven't been able to go prairie dog hunting for a couple years now but that doesn't mean I'm not still thinking about it. Just installed an upper I purchased on a receiver I've had for a few years, another White Oak Armament Varmint upper but this time an 1:8 twist instead of my normal 1:12 twist in .223. I've got a suppressor on order as I've got some others and after having one for the 300 win mag and one on a .22lr, I'm sold. The reduction of recoil and the noise reduction is worth it as the 300 win mag shoots more like a .243, and I don't call the poly stock rifle the 'Punisher' anymore. And the .22lr with subsonic ammo, so awesome.
Come on month of May, I'm ready to go.

Good for you! I keep saying I'm too old and I don't need any more guns, then I see one I have to have! If I ran across a .17 Rem. or .17 Fireball I don't think I could resist.

Still waiting on the suppressor but finally took the new WOA 1:8 barreled AR out for a run using my standard .223 ammo I use for my other WOA 1:12 twist barrel and it really didn't like the 40 grain much but the 50 grain, Benchmark load, it liked and for final sight in it put 3 shots in the bull at 1/2" at 200yds. I think it will work fine.
Working on a 22-250 load and have some very promising as it has a handful that will did 1/4" at 100yds, but from past experience the norm will be closer to 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" at 200yds when shooting groups of 9. Working on groups of 5 next to keep narrowing it down.
