We traveled up to the high country (almost 7000') yesterday to shoot the Colombian ground squirrels. We had a few traffic delays and didn't get there as early as we wanted. We shot a few when we first got there but as the day warmed up they disappeared underground. We didn't have as good shooting as we have in past years but it was enough to have good fun. It was nice up there in the mountains for a change. Everything was green and there was lots of water everywhere, all the creeks were running full and there was several places that water was rushing down the mountainside. It was a vey enjoyable day and good to get out of the desert for a day. Oh, I also popped a rock chuck with Gary's 45 ACP, the only we saw.

Doesn't get much better being outside with a gun and being able to enjoyably shoot them.
Nice on the Rock Chuck.
