Had the trigger for a while for about a year but finally decided I had time to install, was not a simple drop in like an AR Timney and took a little fussing and modification to get in. The bottom of the trigger guard had a small button that protruded into the inside of the trigger space and stopped the trigger from functioning correctly till I drilled a bit of it out. Then had to screw with the safety set and the trigger screw setting still ended up with 4lb pull when supposedly you can get it down less, but less would really seemed like it would be a little unsafe the way the trigger works. Creep is almost nothing and does have a great break. Look forward to shooting again as the old trigger was something like 6.5lbs and felt awkward. Anyone else install one of these triggers and set it up for less than 4lbs? I'm a trigger guy and like my guns to have good triggers. Also helped someone mill an 80% lower for an AR yesterday and the stock trigger that was only 4.5lbs and had a great break. Not worth changing to an aftermarket. Actually the trigger was some of my old parts but he happened to have the same trigger though we fought both for about 45 minutes to get the pins in and something, maybe a burr, something finally gave way and all was fine. Not sure what the problem was but I did use one of my springs as his seemed a hair too big, the small one that sits inside the trigger assembly. The gun on the bottom is the Savage 116 in .223 with 26" bull barrel. I have weighed it in the past and think it was near 10lbs. The gun on the top is a Ruger 10/22 for size difference.

I put a Timney trigger on my Ruger American .223 and it was an easy drop in. It took about 10 minutes if that long. Timney sent it set at 3 lbs, so I left it there. It is so much better than that accu trigger type junk that was on it. Nice crisp break, no creep. I've never messed with a Savage and don't know anything about them. I like the Timney so well I'm thinking about putting one on my Rem. 788 22/250 which has a non adjustable trigger about 8 lbs.

I've messed with a good handful of triggers on my guns to make them better and now have 3 Timneys, and the best one is probably the one on the Remington 700 varmint rifle, really good. Savage makes the Accu-trigger and mine on my .17hmr BTVSS is really good. My 783 Remington's have an adjustable trigger and they are pretty good too.

Tried to go and shoot at the range to try the new trigger and some new loads but the wind was knocking the targets over, they have about a 30" base, so the wind was pretty heavy. Shot 3 times and pulled the plug and picked up my glasses and other things off the shooting table including parts of my shooting log book that were about 15' to 20' off the table and into the shooting range. 3 of 5 target stands were blown over. Had to rebuild the one at 200yds as it blew down so hard it tore boards off.
Will have to make another trip some other time for that.
But, I went home and got my handguns and also met my boss out that we had just built him an AR and the wind died down enough we got him sighted to 100yds, 200yds was out of the question and even 100yd we have it close and that was about all we were going to get. He really has not shot much, never shot anything with a scope and really doesn't know anything about handguns so we had a long class on shooting safety and he picked up pretty good but was pretty jumpy when he heard others shooting and he wasn't ready. I remember when I first started and for handguns at an indoor range pretty much was jumpy too. Now most of that is ignored unless it is a big caliber right next to me while I'm trying to do fine shooting I'll let them get their shot in before I shoot.

I have a Timney trigger in my Remington .220 Swift...helps reduce the groups at the range....don't take it out much since it was left to me by my youngest brother. I did replace the trigger on my Marlin 30-30 with Wild West trigger...best group .756 at 100 yds since installation.
