Gary and I went out this morning to try to call a few in. We left about 6 a.m. Didn't seem to awful cold. Stopped and had breakfast then headed out. It sprinkled on us on the way, thought we might get rained out. Never did rain much but when we got out in the hills the wind was really blowing. I think at times there were gusts up to 50 mph and cold. It was hard to walk in it without getting blown all around. So we decided not to do any stands. Surprisingly we did see one volunteer. Gary jumped out and took three shots at him but the wind was blowing so beep hard he couldn't really tell how far to lead him. And the wind blew the door into him. I tried to bark him to a stop but he didn't like that. He didn't really kick in the after burners even after getting shot at. He finally made it over a ridge and out of sight. It looked to be a good sized coyote and was still furred up pretty good. Drove a few more miles and got stuck in the mud. Took us about an hour to dig ourselves out of that. So, it wasn't a real good day for us but we did get out of the house and into the outdoors for a day. They whole time were stuck there was four wild horses watching us like they were trying to figure out what were up to. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
