Ended up shooting my first mntn lion in a friend's backyard this year in emmett. We found the cached deer in the neighbors yard. it had killed the deer outside my buddys daughter's bedroom window. Fyi mntn lion is fairly tasty. No kidding! Nothing like the taste of rock chuck at all, jk!

Hello Eric, good to see you on here, it's been awhile. Congrats on the kitty. I'm envious now. I've been wanting to try calling one for quite awhile. Will it be mounted? What did you shoot it with? Details, details. Mountain Lion does taste good. What I had was kind of a white meat, sort of sweet tasting, very tender. Give me a call sometime maybe we can get together for some varmint shooting. Gary and have been shooting ab few whistle pigs. There was a lot of them out yesterday. Wow, can't believe yo actually got a big cat.

Hi Bob! Send me your phone # again in a PM when you have a moment. So the mntn lion hunt was fast. I had my AR224 valkyrie but ended up shooting it at about 15-20ft with 00buckshot. We got about 50lbs of meat and I skinned it out and took it to the taxidermist who's making a rug and European skull mount for me It was a crazy fast hunt and a bit spooky as I'm still not sure i was doing the hunting 100% of the time.

Sounds like an interesting hunt. 00 buck should get the job done, especially at such long range!! Should make a nice rug. Sending p m. If I don't answer leave a message. Sometimes if I don't recognize the # I don't answer.

A friend of mine shot a cougar while we were hunting and I got some of the meat. Tasted to me like a better white pork.
