Hello, I'm new to the Meridian, ID area...

...and have been around weapons all my life, but just never had a chance to hunt. I'm 57. My dad died when I was 13; he knew how to hunt but never had the chance... I went into the Army and became an armorer--but just never hunted. I recently sold a few weapons to buy a new Bergara .243 bolt-action, and I can hardly wait to sight it in.

I'd like to meet some people and try varmint hunting--sorry for being such a pilgrim. Where do you all meet?

Hello Axel. You just missed our meeting this month. It's on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. We usually have them at the Sunrise Café in Middleton at 7 p.m. We meet every Wednesday at 11 a.m. for lunch and b.s. at Tom's Cabin in Emmett. On Wednesday's their special is ham & beans so we call it "bean day". If you could make it there it would be a good way to meet some of us and talk about varmint/predator's.
