One son-in-law and I did the Montana and Idaho run and stayed at my daughters in Mountain Home and his Mom's place in Montana. My daughter had my .17hmr, my son-in-law from another daughter had his .22 mag and I had the 10/22 Ruger in the back seat. From Montana to Idaho we had 1400 kills and the one day in Idaho was 650 on whistle pigs, the only good day the entire trip as we had to earn the rest as the day before in Idaho was mostly 20mph wind to 36mph wind, tough day shooting be we still did ok. In Montana and Idaho we shot ground squirrels, a few prairie dogs before being rained out, and some rock chuck. The daughter shot 250 the final day of our 650 run. My wife is not happy I skinned the rock chucks with their head and they are in the freezer. I'm planning on tanning them. We have a small handful of people we would have liked to have seen in Idaho but just could not make the time as we were going as fast as possible every day and never slowed up. I heard from one already, not happy, but we woke up, shot, eat when back and go to bed. Not much visiting time. With my daughter leaving soon we spent most the time with her and my grandkids.

Sounds like you had a good time. I went out this morning for a couple hours and shot 'em up good.
