Be careful, those are the ones we can't shoot.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't shoot up that way at all. I went out past Kuna and knocked a few down this afternoon. Good ties but not too many out yet.

Good on you! How are the roads out that way? I saw a couple in my travels today.

South of Kuna the dirt is soaked but not too bad from what I could see...didn't go far off the highway. Went out Pleasant Valley today after work and off the main gravel/heavily traveled routes its soft and very sloppy. I think I'm going to give it a couple more weeks before i try anything serious. Hope it dries out and warms up into the low 50's soon.

Yeah, I figured they'd be pretty messy. Hope they dry out soon.

My son-in-law just mentioned he saw a whistle pig a couple days ago too. We will be heading down there one last time, my other son-in-law and myself to join with the one in Idaho as they are moving before the year's end. We are bringing lots of ammo to get one last hurrah of whistle pigging in and hopefully another badger and some Rockchucks.

Was it as fun as pulling a trigger on one? Magpies will enjoy it at least.

Not much fun. I tried to dodge him but he turned back and ran right under the wheel. Suicidal squirrel.

When will you be heading this way? Late April. Making a trip through Montana and Idaho and it will depend on weather on which area we go through first as we need the sunniest weather for prairie dogs in Montana.

Picked up my new Nikon Prostaff 5 scope for the .17hmr as I was not happy with the Nikon Rimfire. Looks like it is what I needed. Bring out your Whistle pigs.
