Lone wolf heard answering predator call

Out calling today and decided to road trip by bruneau and ended up driving in a ways on hot creek road.  Set up to call and after my first set a lone wolf responds off in a canyon.  Really didnt know they were around that area but did see mayde 200 muledeer back in there so i guess it makes sense.  Lived in alaska for 11 years so pretty sure it was a wolf maybe the most haunting and depressing sound to hear in the wild.

I'm not surprised they're in that area, I've seen them in the Owyhees, south and west of there. I've never heard one respond to my calling though. I know they can be called in with predator calls. You better pick up a wolf tag, just in case.
