in harsh Winter weather. I'm talking about windy blowing snow, or blizzard type weather. I'm also talking about cold pelting rain or ice storms. The coyotes & the Reds will seek shelter. During those harsh times. Either hard shelter or a place that offers them a good wind-break. Here is an old abandoned Red Fox den hole. This pr used thier old den only during harsh weather. Otherwise they bedded elsewhere. Entrance hole I've hunted on bitter cold windy days with a WC of -40. I still seen coyotes. I've also seen Red Fox out on similar days. But if the wind is blowing rain, ice or snow. I don't go. As they will either be in hard shelter or seeking it. To weather out the storm.
