Conscientious Citizens Picking Up Trash on BLM Public Lands

Couple Great Guys!
Bob was out in the sandhills a few days ago. When he came across these 2 great guys, doing their part in the fight to keep our Public lands cleaned up, and free for all of us to use!
Bob, didn’t think to ask them their names, so, if anyone can identify these 2 guys, we would like to know their names! Better yet! If you are one or both of these guys in the picture, we would like to tell you that we really do appreciate you guys going out in the heat and picking up trash!
If you guys can pull it off, we would like to have you join us for lunch at Tom’s Cabin on Wednesday at 11am, so we can buy you lunch, for your efforts on this day!
Bob told me that he had to stop and talk to the fellows, and tell them that he appreciated them taking time to do a conservatively responsible action such as they are doing! Bob explained to them that the Idaho Varmint Hunters are always picking up trash, when we go out to the sandhills, there has been someone that has drove out there and has dumped their junk.
Bob, went on to say, that the trash dumping, dropping, and leaving shot up targets, is an ongoing problem! A problem that we are working on trying to educate people into the fact that the BLM Public land is not the local landfill facility, and they have no right to be littering, polluting, making the BLM an eyesore! BLM is not their property to dump on!
Another problem that is going on out on the sandhills, is the young people that go out there and throw a party at night! They are bringing their junk, wood pallets, logs, stumps, tires and any other thing that will burn! Here are some pictures of the burning party pits! They are drinking beer, and hard alcohol, when they are done, they are just dropping their empties on the ground around the fire pit, or someplace else before they leave the BLM, so they don’t get caught with the evidence that they had been drinking!

We at IVH understand that if we want to continue to have a place to go to hunt, shoot or just recreate, we have to put a stop to the abuse of the BLM Public Lands!
Idaho Varmint Hunters would like to send out a very heart felt “Thank You!” for being conscientious citizens, and responsible hunters and shooters!
What we need to have is more County Sheriff Patrols during the day and evening to catch the litterers, dumpers, and partiers! Stop all the uncalled for garbage that goes on out there! Start arresting or citing people, including the young partiers. Once they are convicted, the Judge should make them go out to the BLM and pick up trash all day! Maybe it will slow way down or maybe with hope stop the insanity!
We at IVH like to go out to the BLM to relax, and enjoy the day, but when we are out there, all we see is trash strewn all over the place, places where people were shooting, when they were done shooting, they just loaded themselves into their vehicle, and drove away from the mess they left on the ground! Not a second thought about the mess or picking up the garbage, Nope! Just leave it for someone else to clean up! We tend to not enjoy ourselves, we tend to become a perturbed at the eyesore that is out there!
WHAT IS THE POINT IS DOING THIS! DO any of you like to see this, or do you just over look it! Would you like this in your front yard, for you to look at every time you look out the door or window! I would think that it would bother you really badly! You would be out in your front yard in a heartbeat to clean it up! So why do you do this on Our BLM Land! It is the same principle! The BLM is my, your, our, play grounds,

This a dump of a bunch of old roofing material! WHY!!! Because people are slobs and they think of no one but themselves, and their wallets, and how they can save themselves a few dollars! But the truth is, they are not saving a few dollars, they and all of us are actually losing Billions of dollars, every time someone dumps, throws down, or litters on BLM Lands or anywhere for that matter! We may have BLM Public Lands today, but tomorrow it can all be gone from our use! LOCKED UP forever!
Let’s all work to keep it clean and picked up, so we all can enjoy what Life in Idaho has to offer! For soon! If we don’t begin to change what we do, we will be faced with no place to go to hunt, shoot, ride, picnic, or just relax and recreate!
I am only one man! I can’t fight this battle alone! I need your help and cooperation, to stop the fight and win the battle!
