Hey Rick, I am waiting for the pictures to be sent to me, and then I will make a post. I do have to say, there was not an over abundance of chucks to be found. We saw 12, and we got 6 of those. I (Gary) was the first to draw blood on the chucks. Then Ray was in the bullpin, he made a 175 yards shot with my 22-250. Then Harold took a chuck. Then it was Loren's turn. Here are the pictures we got of this chuck, the others were too gross to post, kinda blown up. We tried hard to get Allen on a chuck, but he was having a hard time picking them out in the rocks and grass. Nema didn't do any shooting that day. We saw alot of country that we had not seen before. It was nice in the morning, it was overcast, until afternoon, when it warmed up into the 90's. It was the gang that went on the hunt. Loren, Harold, Myself, Ray, Allen, & Nema. It was alot fun, we hunted until about 11am, when we stopped and had some lunch. Harold's wife Norma made homemade beanie weinie burritos, Ray had brought some fried chicken from Albersons, and we had chips, pop, and water. It was a great time. On the way back from the chuck hunting we drove through the badger fields, and found a BIG Guy running around, It must have weighed around 35-40 pounds. Harold and I doubled on the badger. We also saw 3 coyotes, I shot at 2 coyotes and Harold shot at one, we missed them all. Edumacated those dogs! Not good! I will get pics up as soon as I get them from the guys. Good Hunting! Gary

Pretty warm and humid here been getting about 1-2" of rain per week making the mosquito population big and hungry. Looking forward to seeing the pics. Rick

I now know who left the pink camera in my truck, and I must admit I was surprised it was not Harolds, but I must admit I have always wondered about Ray. ;D

Hey Rick, You just told him yourself! LMBO!!! Harold's wife is nice. She made us all chili beanie weinie burros for lunch, they were great!
Norma, Thank You so very much for the burros. They were as great as Loren has gone on about for so long!
Looks like holeshot is the one catching the crap today! BLINDFOLD? Are you saying I can't shoot? Well you seem to be right! After missing 3 shots, I guess it is time to hang her up! NOT!!! LOL. So! Is your blindfold pink also? HAHAHAHAHA!
Hey guys it is a great ride! I am enjoying myself more than I have in many years! Thank You! Gary

Here is the badger that Harold and I doubled up on, the evening of the day of the rockchuck hunt. We had decided to drive home through the badger alley, and found this PIG of a badger, running along. Harold and I took a running shot and fired at the same time, we both connected. I would say this PIG weighed about 40 pounds, he was a hog. When I saw him I thought it was a dog at first, he was so big. You can see in the picture, I was having a hard time holding the pig up with one hand. I was glad when the picture taking was over, whoo!!!!! Enjoy the pictures. Gary

Thanks Rick,
I will keep my fingers crossed for you. We are kinda waiting for cold weather also, but it is sometime away I am afraid, so we make the best of it right now. It has actually gotten hot and dry, and can you believe it, the wind quit blowing (sucking). It is pretty still here lately! In the upper 90's near 100, 0 humidity.
Cheers. Gary

paintballer,
We are pretty much done chuck hunting for this year, now that it is so hot the chucks and squirrels have gone underground to hibranate, till next spring, at which time we will be all over it again.
We are now waiting for the weather to cool, so we can get after coyotes.
Later, Gary
Next spring, if you hang with us, we could call you to go hunting.
