The 2016 Whistlepig Tournament is done for another year! We had 6 teams turn out for the tournament this year. We even had one fella come all the way from Grangeville ID. to participate in the contest! We Thank him for driving all that way & participating, We hope to see him again! We also had a Father/Son team. The son is 10 years old, His Name is Dylan. The Teams showed up Saturday morning from 6 to 7 am to register, each team was given a burlap sack to fill up, and sent on their way to start their day filling them up. BTW: We would like to "THANK!!!" Don Burch for allowing us to use his building to hold the contest! The Winners are like this: 1st Place - with 176.6 pounds - Ed Phillips & Nick Hylton 2nd Place - with 25.4 pounds - Jim Brogan & Richard Drake - Jim is from Grangeville! 3rd Place - with 18.4 pounds - Larry Phillips and Dylan Phillips - Dylan is the 10 yr old. Everyone had a great time during the tournament! We hope next year that there will be a bunch more teams that come and sign up and participate! The more people there is the more fun and higher the cash prizes! 1st Place Team - Ed & Nick 2nd Place Team - Jim & Richard 3rd Place Team - Larry & Dylan 2016 Piggers Group Shot! The Hanging Tree Dedicated IVH Members and Friends - Doug and Bob - weighing the bags, helping out! Jim & Richard From Right to left - Gary, Larry, Dylan, and Dylan's Grandpa Dwight! Nick and Ed

Yeah, it's a lot of fun. All day out in the field shooting whistle pigs. It was good to get back out shooting/hunting with George. We were next to last place but that doesn't matter, we had fun! A beautiful day and good friends. And I'm glad that Dylan was able to get a trophy, like I told Gary I'd rather see him, a 10 yr. old kid, get a trophy than any one else. He'll remember that for years to come.
