The reason it is called the Christmas Songdog Challenge is because as everyone knows, it is a challenge to call coyotes in December!!! At least in any numbers! As the guys yesterday found out the hard way! The weather was not the best for calling, wind, rain, snow in the higher elevations, and the fact that the coyotes are in the pre-rut. So the chips are/was pretty well stacked against the hunters! But they come back with some coyotes! We had 9 teams turn out for the tournament! To brave the odds and give it their best to succeed at winning! 9 Teams brought in 9 coyotes! (I told you it was a challenge). Team 2 - Chris Felty & KC Zachery - 3 coyotes Team 5 - Jordan Little & Cameron Self - 2 coyotes Team 7 - Norbert Costa & Henry Prater - 1 coyotes There was a tie for 3rd Place with 4 teams with 1 coyote. The team with the earliest Check-in time won 3 Place! 1st Place Team - Chris & KC 2nd Place Team - Jordan & Cameron 3rd Place Team - Norbert & Henry - This was Norbert's first tournament! Norbert is also the owner of Sure Shot Precision Rifles. We would like to send out a special "Thank You!!!" to HydroDip Graphics for opening their shop, and allowing us to hold our tournament there! Please consider taking your firearm or other items that you would like to have a great camo dip or other dip pattern on! Give them a call to find out about patterns and pricing! 208-288-1008 or drop by and talk to Todd or Scott at 1129 E. Pine Ave. Suite 101. Meridian. 1/2 block West of locust Grove.
