I currently use a Primos Alpha Dogg electronic call but am looking to upgrade to a little better call. With that said, what is the consensus on an upgrade - - make and model, and why?
I use most of the Verminator series mouth calls when I move around as setting up the electronic call takes too much time and effort especially in deep snow. I also use a couple Mojo Critters close to the electronic call.

bdsusa,
If you are wanting to buy economically, you should look into the ICOtec series of calls! If you are not worried about the cost, I would look at the Foxpro Shockwave!
But, the Alpha Dogg is a good call, what is it that you don't like about it??

The speakers occasionally sound like they are cracked which I believe is a direct result of low batteries. About half the time changing the batteries will fix the problem but the next time I use it the same problem shows up again. I even changed to lithium batteries which improved the sound quality but not to the point I think it should be at as this unit was not cheap. It seems like the louder the volume the worse the sound becomes and I never know from use to use what is going to come out of the call. Therefore, I switched to mouth calls until I find the right replacement unit. Another issue I have is the Primos Alpha Dogg is made in China. I’ve had this unit for about three years and take very good care of it.
