Not sure how or when you guys have early goose, sounded like September 1st, but ours started on the 10th and goes for about a week. The first day is the only easy day to get these Canadians. We had a good time and 5 limits of 5 by 8am.  And my limit. They were pretty heavy.  |

Nope. Usually do a Tai recipe on the grill. Pretty good. Only problem is some of those older Canadian geese are a bit tough.

A friend of mine used to filet the breasts off then slice it up and make jerky. It was really good. He used to shoot so many geese, he was always looking for new recipe's.

Good shootin 72 ! Waterfowling is one thin I want to do a lot more of, I've been out for ducks a few times but want to get out more just hard finding someone to go with

You are right, hard to find someone and a place to go. I get to tag along with my cousin who is a farmer and there are a small handful of us and if it wasn't for him I'd be shooting a lot less birds. My brother and I tried to find some spots near us and it was not very fruitful. You have to find someone that has private access I've found for the best bird hunting.

Looks like I need to start making more friends haha, a ex coworker of mine said he would take me out this yet and start showing me the ropes, so hopefully I get to shoot some ducks this year, it's rite around the corner

Yes it is. Here it is on the 17th, but same day as modern rifle for deer. I'll probably be deer hunting but if it doesn't look prosperous, as I've only got a couple days available, I'll skip and do duck/geese and wait for elk season for the big game.

I go up for deer this weekend and then hopefully a bunch of water fowling after that! And lots of yote callin of course!
