Finally

I drew an area 40 buck tag. This was the 5th time I applied. Still no antelope tag though, 13th time I've been turned down for that. Anybody else have any luck?

Nope, did not get a big bull nor a cow elk tag. 1st year though trying.

We had a good year with the elk as 4 out of 5 in our camp pulled out an elk. It was my first one. I've been almost to the point of insanity trying to tan the hide but I'm almost done. I'll do a deer or anything smaller and I have someone else's elk hide that I'm somewhat committed to tan, but that will be it for elk. Way, way too much work to tan.

Got an elk this year, though in Washington State. We are only allowed spikes in our area. They have big bull and cow tags, but very limited. One of two of my partners got an elk too. We are at Top Camp, Mid Camp got a large Tom Cougar, and Base Camp with the old guys didn't get a thing.

God blessed me with the elk. Now it is migratory bird season and that has been going well too. 2 outings, 12lbs of meat of 5 ducks and 4 geese.
