Doing some test loads of 35 grain .223 Nosler non-lead ballistic just to see how these little hotrod bullets will work. Jury is still out and I've only tested about a 1/4 of what I have made to try for differing powders and loads. The last two went in the same hole but the one before was 7/8" off. 3 group before that was 1/2", so both those will need more testing. They should be in the 3600fps to over 3700fps area. When I find the best load I'll chronograph.
Been a while since I did bench shooting or any shooting for that matter, was a bit surprised that I lost a little of my edge for shooting, that's why I will need to test those two again.
And, the main reason I went was to try a trigger job I did on my Smith&Wesson Sigma, and I like it. Was over 10lbs before starting, still just a hair over 8lbs now but with the graphite and smoothing the sides that rub it feels even less. More enjoyable to shoot.

I figured you would be the only one to respond. This has become "our" forum. Glad you're working up some new loads. That's always fun. I have worked some ladder loads for my 6 m/m Rem. with 85 gr. Sierra hollow points. Haven't got a chance to try them yet. Should make a good varmint load. Went to a shop in Boise yesterday, Cliff's. They had quite a lot of powder & bullets. I found some Hodgdon Lil' Gun. I've been looking for that for a long time. I was beginning to think they quit making it. It's my favorite powder in my .218 Bee. Company coming this weekend so won't be able to get out for at last a week.

10,874 acres total. One of the reason to have big fire breaks around your house to defend it. Don't park on tall grass. Have your pine trees and other trees limb up so fire can't use it as a ladder and go up. It's just started for the season. Unless something was to change greatly like heavy monsoonal moisture to hit our area don't see things getting better before October. If the forest gets any fires at all see the forest being shut down to camp fires and wood cutting. So far they've squeaked by. The timber is dry already only takes someone stupid or one dry lightning strike.
Actually the fire started on hwy 52 along Squaw Creek where the power line gets close to the road there. Spread northward with the wind, jumped the Butte Rd. Wind shifted then spread into Spring creek along the Butte rd. It could have been much worse. 9 Years ago when the Cherry fire started they burned the butte from north to south east to west for 58,000 acres most of it was back burns to control it. Believe half of what you read, throw out every other word and you just might get a hairs close to the truth when you read the "State Of Ada" news paper.

Yeah, the wildfires are a bad thing. I just now heard there's one south of Grandview, they expect to have it contained tonight. We need to be extra careful this time of year.

I check in a couple of times a day, but read more than type!
I'll do better! I promise! :-)

The fire is close to Doyle Mtn. Sounded like they caught it or wasn't haven't to much trouble with 40 plus acres. There is a lot of rain in bedded with these storms thankfully. Had one shot of lightning outside of the storm last night between Sweet and Ola. 5 acres had some rain on it so when the fire fighters arrived it was only punking around. They caught that one too.
